How to Play Monkey Wrench
Monkey Wrench is published by Blue Ox Family Games, the studio behind 7 Little Words. Each day brings three fresh puzzles: the main Daily Puzzle, Bonus Puzzle 1, and Bonus Puzzle 2.
Each puzzle contains four themed categories. You see a grid of letter tiles and a set of word slots, but the category theme is hidden at the start. Your task: find the words that belong to the theme and fit them into the grid. The theme is revealed as you solve. The moment a connection clicks — when you realise the category that links all the words — is what makes the game genuinely satisfying.
Words are formed by selecting letter tiles in order. Valid words (even those outside the hidden theme) count as bonus words and build your score. The puzzle is complete when all mandatory theme words are placed in the grid and the category banner is fully revealed.
Difficulty scales with each puzzle type: Daily is generally the most approachable, while Bonus 2 tends to be the trickiest. Categories range from pop culture to science, geography, history, and everything in between.
